Finally ready for letting.  It has been over two years since this project started and it has certainly felt that long!  The barn was in a worse condition than The Dairy and as we weren’t in a particular hurry, we decided to use a builder we knew and trusted and be more involved ourselves.  The Dairy only took about six months as we needed to move in so work could begin on the house so it was all hands on deck with a large team of builders.

We are absolutely thrilled with the end result, it is truly beautiful and we just hope that all the guests think so too.  Although similar to The Dairy in the decor and overall feel, The Granary is much more spacious and feels more like a home than a holiday let, it even has a drinks station in the living room with a fridge (for all that lovely prosecco) and a coffee machine……  We have been trying to work out whether we could live in it rather than the farmhouse!

There were many many stressful periods during the renovation, the worst being the news that the large patio window would not be ready for our first booking at the end of April.  We learnt this a week before our guests were due to arrive – somehow David managed to source a temporary window and Mike (our builder) managed to adapt the opening to fit!!
